Everest Panorama Trekking

‘The Everest Panorama Trek’ is a top notch trip and is one of the most done in the Everest region. The trek leads you into the softer wilderness of the ‘Khumbu’’ and the elevations don’t go beyond 4000m. The outing takes us as close as it gets to the king of all peaks – Mt. Everest, as we hike through the heart of Sherpa country and its sublime landscapes is not only an opportunity to get up close to the tallest peak of the world. It is also a chance to explore the greater Himalayan landscapes of the Khumbu region. In addition, this ‘Everest Panorama Trek’’ trail offers trekkers a window to observe Sherpa culture and traditions in its true form.

The vast Himalayan range geographically lies scattered across the whole northern belt of Nepal. This venture seeks to create an opportunity for trekkers to penetrate deep into the Khumbu in the budding middle hills to relish the vistas of the Everest and Khumbu valley at more gentle elevations. Hikers enjoy the lush cultivated terrain, the vibrant villages, its friendly inhabitants who warmly welcome visitors and while hiking further up, we get to see the cultural aspects of the legendary Sherpas, and the original architectural exquisiteness found in the northern region of Nepal’s Himalayan chain of mountains. The Everest Panorama Trek is known to be much famous among greenhorn adventure seekers who want to experience for the first time what its like to trek across huge mountains in a wilderness that has been the home of legends that’ve walked these trails. There’s no doubt as to why trekking in this particular region is spoken of throughout the adventure hubs of the world for its authentic landscapes, beautiful ecosystems and the famous peaks that trekkers get to view hereabouts, even if not climbing them…

Our odyssey commences from Lukla, a little airstrip town with the only airport in the region -Tenzing-Hillary Airport. We also walk through the well known Sagarmatha National Park (UNESCO World Heritage Site) which is well placed inside the Khumbu valley. This zone is a haven for Eco-tourism. With the nerve centre of the Khumbu - Namche Bazaar -, a hop and step from Lukla, there’s an interesting Sherpa museum to visit here. The highest elevation we get to in The Everest Panorama Trek’’ is Tengboche at 3,867m (12,684ft). Tengboche is a bonus for trekkers to savour the 360° panorama of the Everest and its nearby peaks. As we check out from Tengboche, the trail descends down past pretty Sherpa villages of Khumjung and Thame. Khumjung is special because of the Gompa (monastery) in this teeming village. The monastery houses some of the most fantastic masks of demons as well as the scalp of the fabled iceman, Yeti. Family Adventure treks’ will show you this area like nobody else…
